Most rental disputes start from the same place: a verbal agreement. "Hold it for me end of the month", then a disagreement about the dates, or two groups booked for the same weekend, or an argument over the amount on arrival. The booking system on Auto Bazar exists to remove that grey area: set dates, a calculated amount, and a documented approval before anyone travels. This guide explains how it works from both sides.
Booking is available in two categories: car rental and daily rental (chalets, farms, rest houses, pool houses). The other categories β cars, parts, real estate β are for sales and long-term rentals, where you contact the seller directly with no calendar involved.
This part is worth understanding. A listing can carry more than one rate: daily, weekly, monthly, and sometimes a specific weekend rate. The system doesn't multiply the daily rate by the number of days β it works out the cheapest possible combination of the available rates to cover your period. A ten-day booking might be priced as a week plus three days if that works out cheaper for you, and the saving is shown explicitly in the price breakdown. Which is why extending a stay by a day or two is sometimes cheaper than shortening it β and the breakdown makes that visible before you send, not on arrival.
A request moves through clear states, all of them visible to both sides:
The platform isn't a payment intermediary and doesn't hold your money; the amount goes from you to the owner directly. In practice: once the booking is approved, the owner's payment details are revealed to you (Sham Cash currently), you transfer the amount, and then you record that you've paid, with the transfer reference. The owner confirms receipt on their side β or raises a dispute if nothing arrived. The result is a documented trail instead of "I told you I sent it".
Note that payment details only appear after a booking is approved. Anyone asking you to transfer money before approval, or outside this path, is a reason to stop and ask questions β the scam-avoidance guide covers the common patterns.
Once a booking is completed, the guest can rate the owner with stars and an optional comment, and the review appears on the owner's page. This is what makes a seller's page genuinely informative: reviews here are tied to bookings that actually completed, not open comments from anyone. Read an owner's reviews before booking, and leave yours afterwards β both sides benefit.
The system enforces limits that protect both sides: you can't book a date in the past, can't book a single stay longer than the maximum period, and can't book absurdly far into the future. A guest also can't keep a large number of requests pending at once β a rule that shields owners from unserious requests. And some listings set a minimum rental period, which you'll see if you select a shorter range.
Because the four things people usually argue about are settled before anyone moves: the dates, the amount, the approval, and the payment record. Add the automatic decline of conflicting requests, which makes double-booking the same dates impossible. A verbal agreement works fine right up until it doesn't β usually at the worst possible moment, on arrival.
| Through the system | Verbal agreement | |
|---|---|---|
| Dates | Recorded and visible to both parties | Each party's memory |
| Double bookings | Prevented by the availability display | Happen, and get discovered late |
| What was agreed | Documented | Disputed at the first problem |
| Approval | Explicitly from the owner | Implicit and unconfirmed |
| In a dispute | A record to refer back to | One word against another |

Pick the dates, review the price breakdown, send the request, wait for approval β then pay the owner directly and record the reference. Browse daily rentals or car rentals on Auto Bazar and try a booking on a listing that suits you. For the rest of the platform, there's the how to use Auto Bazar guide.
Because dates are recorded and visible to both parties, the availability display prevents double bookings, what was agreed stays documented, and approval comes explicitly from the owner. In a dispute there is a record rather than one word against another.
Car rental and daily rental. Listing pages in those two categories show availability and let you send a booking request for the owner to approve, unlike the other categories where contact is direct.
No. The request goes to the owner, who approves it, and that step is what makes the agreement documented by both parties rather than an assumption by one.
