Auto Bazar ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by El-Enjaz, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using Auto Bazar, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.
- Profile Information: Your city or location within Syria, and any optional profile details you choose to share.
- Listing Information: Photos of cars you upload, vehicle descriptions, prices, and other details included in your listings.
- Communications: Messages exchanged between buyers and sellers through our in-app chat system.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to premium features, payment details are processed securely by our payment providers (see Section 4).
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including pages viewed, features used, and time spent.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and app crash reports.
- Location Data: City-level location based on your profile settings (we do not track precise GPS location).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your car listings to other users
- Facilitate communication between buyers and sellers
- Send push notifications about messages, listing updates, and important account information
- Process subscription payments
- Improve, personalize, and optimize the app experience
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Respond to your support requests
- Send you important service updates and announcements
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Public Listings: Information you include in car listings (photos, description, city, price) is visible to all users of the app.
- Other Users: When you communicate with a buyer or seller, your display name and messages are shared with that user.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party services that help us operate the app (see Section 4).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety: We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Auto Bazar:
- Supabase: Provides our database, user authentication, and file storage infrastructure. Your account data, listings, and uploaded photos are stored on Supabase servers.
- Firebase (Google): Used for push notifications and analytics. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage data.
- Stripe: Processes subscription payments securely. Stripe handles your payment card information directly and is PCI-DSS compliant. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Amazon SES: Used to send transactional emails such as email verification and password reset messages.
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their policies.
5. Cross-App Tracking
We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles based on your activity outside of Auto Bazar.
6. Data Retention
- Your personal data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
- If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain information.
- Chat messages may be retained for up to 30 days after account deletion to support any ongoing conversations with other users.
- Anonymized and aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.
7. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can update or correct your account information at any time through the app settings.
- Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. You may also contact us to request deletion.
- Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: You can object to certain processing of your data by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy
Auto Bazar is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. 9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside of Syria, including servers operated by our third-party service providers (Supabase, Firebase, Stripe, Amazon SES). These providers may process your data in the United States, the European Union, or other jurisdictions. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your data to these locations.
10. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
- Secure authentication with email verification
- Access controls limiting who can access user data
- Regular security reviews of our systems
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
As a mobile application, Auto Bazar uses minimal cookie-like technologies. We use only essential local storage for:
- Keeping you logged in to your account
- Storing your app preferences (language, display settings)
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking purposes.
